KS1's Visit from Hampshire Fire and Rescue

KS1 were visited by Hampshire Fire and Rescue yesterday and the children learnt lots about fire safety at home and in school.

The children also learnt about the equipment used by the Fire and Rescue Teams when tackling a fire or road collision and the different roles the Fire Service play when assisting other emergency services.

A big thank you to Miss Keeler who demonstrated putting on a full fire fighter kit in just 37 seconds and a huge well done to the children who recited a poem about fire safety using sign language!

We look forward to using everything we have learnt today to compare changes through history when we start our new history topic about The Great Fire of London this half term.
